Adventures in puppy training             2005

The "little boozers" had a blast learning the ropes on short runs and fun trips with the "big dogs".  We have been delighted with their performance and manners while on the truck and gangline.  They are surprisingly easy to train and are all very enthusiastic about their new jobs.

The puppies had a great weekend as part of the "big dog" teams.  The really enjoyed their time on the trails and are eager for more!  The adult dogs are very patient and nice to the pups as they learn--the adults are doing a lot of the work for us simply by being good examples.   I think these photos show how eager everyone was to get out on the trails and show the puppies how much fun it is to be a sled dog!

Look who's in lead again!! Memphis is showing Miami the leader ropes.  These two just eat up the trails and absolutely give it their all.  They simply love to be leaders.

Teams with pups mixed in makes training easier and more fun-- adult team members are happy to show the "kids" the ropes!
